Sunday we took the kids in the costumes to the Spooktacular at our zoo. It was extremely windy but the kids got some good candy and got to see some animals. Unfortunately I am fighting off a sinus infection and was not feeling too whoopy. Willie the Wildcat was there and Thayer gave him a high five...Linley on the otherhand made a beeline as far around Willie as possible. Kip and I finally saw a movie later on in the afternoon. I think it's been well over 2 months since we had been to the theater. The kids had fun playing out at Kip's dads house with their Grandpa and Uncle Doug! We had a busy but fun weekend.

Halloween Party

Saturday morning I retook the ACT, since it's been over 10 years. I'm pretty sure I was the oldest person in the room:) The proctor even did a double take when she picked up my test booklet that had my date of birth on it. Afterwards Kip, the kids, and I all started preparing for our Halloween party we were having later on. Linley and I were mostly in the kitchen prepping the food, although she always managed to find something else to do! I did get her to help pick up and clean the mirrors. Kip ran my errands and cleaned up the yard, all while Thayer took a fabulous nap.
We ended up getting it all pulled together just in time and had a fantastic night with our friends and their kids. Even though our house is on the small side it definately was doable. We had great food, wonderful company, and well behaved kids...what more could you ask for. We will definately have to have an adult party sometime soon, minus the kids. These are just a few pics that I was able to snap.

Special Visitors

Aunt Meg and Aunt Ali came for a quick visit this past weekend. The kids enjoyed the chasing, horsey rides, reading books, playing at the park, and new snuggle buddies...oh yeah and the ice cream social! Thank you for coming to visit, Kip and I appreciated you wearing the kiddos out!

Picture Day

Tuesday was picture day for Linley at preschool and it was also when I decided to go ahead and cut Thayer's hair off. Linley really wanted to wear a dress...big surprise:) Unfortunately the weather wasn't as warm as she would have liked, so we compromised and wore jeans instead of itchy tights. As for Thayer's new do, last week I had 3 separate incidents where people mistook him for a girl!! Nevermind the fact that he was wearing a monster truck shirt at the time and Linley was sporting a dress as usual. So, after nap I took him to a girl I go to when Ali isn't free and she cut it all off. The amount of hair on the floor afterwards looked like I had gotten my hair trimmed as well. His new do makes him look so much older than just 18 months. Oh well, my baby isn't a baby anymore...I'm not sure he ever was at the rate he grew.

My parents and Maeci visited us last weekend and took the kids to the zoo, while Kip and I made a visit to UMKC's dental hygiene program. The kids had a blast and are already counting down the days until nana and papa come back! I really liked the school, just not the price tag for their program. Now comes the waiting game part, which I'm not very good at.

Pumpkin Patch

This Saturday we took the kids to a pumpkin patch south of Wamego. We met up with our friends, the Taylor's, and had a terrific time. We got some good pumpkins and the kids got some energy out as well. After our pumpkin picking, we went for some good fast food at none other than Kreem Kup.

Puppy Lexi

Kip's stepbrother, Adam and his girlfriend, Rebecca, brought their new puppy Lexi over last night for a visit. She is 11 weeks old and is a Silky York Terrier and absoloutely the best behaved puppy ever, especially around kids. Both Linley and Thayer couldn't get enough of her. Maybe we can get them a pet sometime soon...teach responsibility, right!
